Where to find Information
GroIMP is a software with many features and a quite complex theoretical background and we are doing our best to provide you with easily accessable information inside the software and online.
Embedded
Documentation
GroIMP comes with documentation directly inside the software, you can find this in the main menu under help, on the welcoming screen, or by clicking on the small blue questionsmarks placed at different spots in the software.
The question marks will push you directly to the information closest related to the place of the question mark. For instance the questionmark in the upper corner of the attribute editor sends you to the documentaton of the attribute editor.
Saidly we have to admit that this embedded documentation is not complete and not all parts are fully up to date. Yet it should gives you a good first inside.
Embedded Tutorials
Currently, GroIMP comes with two embedded tutorials: one for the RGG language and one for the user interface. You can access them on the welcome screen or in the main menu under “Tutorials.”
Examples
To provide insight and highlight different features, GroIMP comes with a collection of embedded examples. You can find these examples in the main menu under “File” > “Example Projects.”
Function browser
GroIMP's programming language includes a large set of predefined functions and features. It can be quite hard to remember them all, especially in the beginning. Therefore, the software provides an explorer to help you find them and offers descriptions of them. You can access the function browser in the main menu under Help > Function Browser.
