====== Overview ======

//GreenLab// is a parameterizable plant model developed within the [[http://liama.ia.ac.cn/wiki/projects|cPlant - Computational Plant project]] (former GreenLab project) under supervision of LIAMA (China) and its cooperation partners.

====== Implementation ======

Parts of the GreenLab model were reimplemented in the language XL. As the basis, the implementation of the GreenLab model in the software [[http://liama.ia.ac.cn/wiki/projects:greenscilab:download|GreenScilab]], version GreenScilabv1.0_demo, was taken.

Features:
  * Graphical user interface for parameter input.  
  * Import and export of the parameter file into the SCI file format used by the GreenScilabv1.0_demo version.  
  * Support of the SMB file format to load shape objects directly.


====== New Project ======

To open a new GreenLab project, go to the menu item File/New/GreenLab Project. The new project will open with a simulated maize plant.

To run the simulation for the first time, first press "Reset" to reset the model to the initial structure. Then press "Run", to run the simulation for one time step, or "Run run", to run the simulation over the whole growing period.

The parameters of the model can be modified in the window "GreenLab Parameters". To apply all the changes, press "Apply".
